Nintendo has acquired Japanese animation studio Dynamo Pictures, the gaming giant said Thursday. Take Cuphead, for instance, a critically acclaimed video game originally released in 2017. Asequel season for Cuphead’s Netflix showis already on the way.
The news was announced duringtoday’s Nintendo Direct, where plenty of other games were introduced. For now, though, there’s already a lot to dig into today.
The $100 motion-activated Alarmo clock went viral last year for its quirky, interactive features. Soon,all customerswill be able to purchase the clock. Nintendo’s initial Alarmo announcement came at a time when fans were anticipating news of thelong-awaited Switch 2. The Button Mode, meanwhile, offers you a more traditional way of silencing the alarm.
The watch comes with a red casing around the digital face, with a Koopa shell on the screen. You canpreorder the Super Mario Bros. watchnow for a ship date of Nov. 11. Nintendo has released a new update for Metroid Dread that resolves a potential game-crashing issue. The update should be downloaded and installed automatically when you connect your Nintendo Switch to the internet. A bug has been found in#MetroidDreadthat can prevent players from progressing under a certain condition. A patch will be released by the end of October to fix this. It has also been a big hit with critics.
Nintendo has formally launched its new animation subsidiary, Nintendo Pictures. Nintendo Pictures will create video content based on Nintendo intellectual property. The latter were later released on YouTube. Sega’s Sonic 2 movie became thehighest-grossing video game movie everin the US.
Palworld was released in January. Fans of the game quickly made mods for Palworld thatsubstituted actual Pokemonfor the game’s characters. Nintendo and The Pokemon Company didn’t respond to requests for further comment on the suit.
