Grand Theft Auto Online’s popularity is still strong more than seven years after it launched. Developer Rockstar Games said Wednesday it willstop supporting GTA Online for PS3 and Xbox 360on Dec. 16. GTA Online is available on the PS4,Xbox Oneand PC. It will make the jump toPS5 and Xbox Series consoles on Nov. 11.

“We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready,” Rockstar saidin its announcement. The move will mark the next installment in one of the best-selling game franchises of all time. Despite being nearly a decade old, GTA V is still one of the top-selling games each year. It’s racked upmore than 155 million copies sold, with more than $6 billion in worldwide revenue. On Thursday, a new report says fans are headed back to where the franchise became a blockbuster hit. Rockstar Games didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. The developer followed up with 2002’s Vice City and then 2004’s San Andreas.
