The law went into effect Wednesday after a federal appeals courtlifted an earlier injunction against it. The lobbying groups want the law to be blocked again until appeals can wind their way through lower courts. As earlier reportedby Android Police, beta testers for Telegram’s iOS app noticed the featuresin version 8.7.2. Users who have the free version reportedly won’t be able to view these premium features in conversation threads. Telegram has made several money moves over the last year. The company has also recently expanded into livestreaming, chatbots, cryptocurrency and more to monetize the platform. Telegram didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
