Apple on Monday showed off a new replacement for passwords coming in Safari and iOS. Passkeys are unique digital codes generated for websites you visit in Safari or apps on your iPhone. Apple says that makes them stronger than two-factor authentication. Google demonstrated the same passkey approach at Google I/O in May.
