Majority of Twitter Shareholders Reportedly Vote to OK Musk's Takeover

An early count ahead of Tuesday's shareholder meeting shows it's a done deal, Reuters reports.

The company’s board of directors had urged shareholders to approve the deal.

The vote comes amid a legal battle between Musk and Twitter.

Twitter and Musk are scheduled to go to trial on Oct. 17.

Twitter declined to comment on the vote until Tuesday.

Musk couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
