New Pokemon Sword and Shield Event Features Gigantamax Kanto Starters

Players can encounter Gigantamax versions of Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise in raids until Feb. 27.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are holding a special Max Raid event to celebrate the series' anniversary.

Before the featured Pokemon can begin appearing in your game, you must first refresh your Max Raid dens.

The event runs until 3:59 p.m. PT on Feb. 27.

In addition to the Gigantamax Pokemon, Sword and Shield are giving outthree shiny Galarian legendaries.
