Activision Blizzard has yet another battle on its hands. The CWA made itscomplaint public on Tuesdayand lauded the bravery of employees who protested against the gaming giant. Activision Blizzard didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
It follows Microsoft announcing a $68.7 billion agreement to buy the company in January. Kyle Watson allegesin his suitthat the plan isn’t in the best interest of Activision Blizzard or its shareholders. Shareholder Shiva Stein alsofiled suitagainst Activision Blizzard, making similar allegations to Watson’s.
“The conduct was unwelcome and adversely affected the employees.” The company also said it would strengthen policies and programs to prevent harassment and discrimination among its workforce. The EEOC declined to comment. Employees alsoheld a walkout proteston July 28 to demand greater action from the company.
Activision Blizzard didn’t respond to a request for comment.
“I am sorry that we did not provide the right empathy and understanding.” Employees welcomed Kotick’s commitment to change, but still plan to walk out. It also expresses support for colleagues who say they’re victims of harassment and assault. Those found to have violated those processes will be fired, Kotick said. The company has nearly 10,000 employees. The employee letter calls for quick action from the company. Kotick didn’t respond to a request for comment....

Since then, federal agencies also filed suit against the company. Last month, a report revealedcompany CEO Bobby Kotick was aware of various workplace complaints for years....
