Sonysuffered a similar outage in Octoberthat lasted about 8 hours.

The companysaid in a post on Xthat the issue was technical.

“data pipe services have fully recovered from an operational issue.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank the community for their patience,” the post said.

“All PlayStation Plus members will automatically receive an additional five days of service.”

As of Feb. 10, serviceappeared to be back to normal.

Sony did not immediately respond to an email about further information on the outage.
