The US has reached the grim milestone of900,000 deaths from COVID-19, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Those deaths arose from 76.2 million confirmed cases ofCOVID in the USduring the pandemic.

What does that mean for boosters?

COVID is continuing to spread rapidly across the US and the world due to thehighly contagious omicron variant.

Globally, there have been more than 5.7 million deaths and 390 million cases.

In the last 28 days, there have been over 236,000 deaths and 87.6 million confirmed cases globally.
