Venmo adding crypto, budgeting and savings functions to app later this year

Venmowill expand its functionality in the coming months, according to an earnings call with theapp’sparent company,PayPal.

PayPal CEO Dan Schulman announced the new functions for Venmo on Wednesday during PayPal’sfourth-quarter earnings call.

Another addition to the app is the integration of Honey.

PayPal didn’t say when these features will be added.

Schulman said Venmo continues to grow.

In 2020, it grew by 30% over the previous year, to just below 70 million users.
